Woodland Workout

Getting outdoors to train is an ideal opportunity to mix up your training/running and add in a few strength exercises. Keeps it a little interesting, and might keep you warmer on a chilly day!
Try adding some exercises into your run session. Off road better, as if on the pavement or in Tescos car park might look a bit odd!

Run for 10 minutes, then do 1 set of the following

10 burpees
10 squats
10 press ups
10 lunges
10 low to high planks
10 squat jumps

Run for another 5-10 minutes and do the same circuit

Jog home! Or back to the car. Job done!

Forest Fit

Welcome once again to the Forest Fit Blog!

Sessions are still at the same times, Sika Trail, Wareham Forest on Monday evenings at 6:30pm, Wednesday Mornings 9:30am, Saturday mornings 9:30am. Whatever the weather we are there! Come and join us for a great workout and some fitness fun!

Forest Fit t-shirts will be available very soon, and are with the printers at the moment. We will let everyone know as soon as they are done and then orders for sizes can be taken.

Outdoor is the new gym

Summer at Forest Fit

Training is going well, and everyone is getting stronger, fitter, leaner and meaner! 

Just to remind you guys and all you newbies who want to come and give us a try.

Sessions are still at the Sika Trail, near Wareham and the times are:

Monday evenings, 6:30pm
Wednesday mornings, 9:30am 
Saturday mornings, 9:30am

Lots of great people coming to train with us and the sessions are still a fantastic mix of varied training methods, circuit style, aerobic efforts, strength training, core stability and general conditioning.

Latest News

Training continues to go well, everyone getting fitter, stronger, leaner and meaner!
The Monday evenings down at Wareham Rugby Club are proving to be very popular and complement very nicely what we do down at the Sika Trail.

Wednesday Session

Well done to everyone who came yesterday. We got the best of the weather I think.
Nice easy jog warm up followed by some good strength work, upper body, then legs, interspersed with some short runs, keeping moving as there was a chilly breeze. One hill loop and back for lots of abs and core work, more runs, jog to logs for lots of pull ups and log throws to finish.
Very enjoyable session, everyone worked hard and had fun!
Charlie and I are now on a mission to find more logs. They seem to be a little thin on the ground! Although plenty of heavy ones, as we discovered yesterday!
